2019, my fifth year in business, was absolutely the best one yet! Not only did we (once again) serve the most amazing couples, but we also made some major changes and hit some really exciting milestones! Here are some of the highlights of 2019:

PHOTOGRAPHED MY 100th WEDDING IN NEGRIL, JAMAICA

Another huge milestone was photographing my 100th wedding! Lucky us, the 100th wedding just happened to be at Rockhouse Hotel in Negril, Jamaica. I had admired Rockhouse from afar before Fran & Brian even inquired, and I was so thrilled when the booked me as their wedding photographer. This was one of the most memorable and fun weddings we’ve ever photographed. You can see the full post about it here.

SELF-SHOT OUR OWN ANNIVERSARY SESSION AT LAKE COMO, ITALY

When we had the last-minute desire to have tangible memories from our 4th anniversary trip to Lake Como & Greece but couldn’t find an available photographer, we decided to photograph a session on our own! This was our first attempt to shoot with a remote and tripod ever, and while it felt a little silly at times, it was well worth it! FIRST-EVER HBP ASSOCIATE, CASSIE, BEGAN PHOTOGRAPHING HER OWN WEDDINGS

From the time I started my business, I had a dream and desire to have team members. The dream was realized at the beginning of 2018, when Cassie was added to the team as an intern. She became an associate-in-training in May of 2018, and by the end of the year was launched as a second option for HBP as a lead photographer. TRAVELED TO THE USVI FOR THE 1ST TIME FOR K & K’S WEDDING

This was a wedding that we will never forget – the celebration was so unique and truly embraced the Cruzan culture in every way. Bride, Kayla, grew up in the U.S. Virgin Islands and planned an incredible celebration with Michelle Marquis. We loved every minute of this trip!

ADDED A SECOND ASSOCIATE, SARAH MILLS

My heart is so full as I write this – our team has grown to THREE and I could not be more pleased! Sarah unofficially joined the team in May of 2019 and has been shooting with us and training to be a lead photographer since that time. We were thrilled to welcome Sarah to the team and love what she has added to our repertoire, particularly because she has been working as a professional photographer for 5+ years! In November of 2019, she also started booking weddings of her own and is a third option for engaged couples who seek the HBP wedding experience.
