One word to describe this gorgeous couple: GLOWING. Wednesday, November 21 was a perfect fall day in every way: 50 degrees, glowing sunshine and the last of the autumn colors in the trees. John & Soo have classic, elegant taste. Their wedding reflected a blend of this timeless elegance and their Korean heritage. It was a beautiful day!
When Soo told me that the colors would include dusty blue and gold, I was thrilled! Her bridesmaids wore the same color in a different style, which looked amazing all together! John chose to wear navy, while his groomsmen were in grey. It was the perfect way to make him stand out in the group! Their simple, creamy florals accented the group beautifully. You have to keep scrolling to see how amazing the wedding party looked! Mothers of the bride and groom wore traditional Korean dresses in pink and blue. They both looked stunning! I love that Soo & John included this piece of tradition in their day! Again, keep scrolling to see!
Soo and John chose to have their wedding the day before Thanksgiving. This was ideal because guests were already planning for a fun holiday weekend off from work, but, as John put it at their engagement session, “it’s before they’re in a food coma from Thanksgiving!” I loved the idea to have a wedding on this day! And as an added bonus, the couple practically had the entire hotel to themselves for the wedding day!
It’s so hard to choose favorites from this day, because basically everything about the day was my favorite! Exceptional details include Soo’s Valentino heels, their custom gold-sealed invitations, their emotional and meaningful ceremony, John’s brother acting as MC for the evening and Soo’s reception dress (from BHLDN!).
