When a past couple refers a newly engaged couple, I always know it’s going to be a great relationship! This was 100% true of Chelsea & Mark! From the minute I heard that they found me through the sweetest past couple, Healy & Steve, I knew we’d be friends! They hired me all the way back at the end of 2017, so this Virginia wedding was a long time in coming! And well worth the wait, too!

What I love about Chelsea & Mark is the fact that they are both incredibly chill as a couple, but also put an immense amount of thoughtful preparation into their wedding day. Everything was perfect about the wedding in every way, and it was very obvious that these two killed it with the planning! Khimaira Farm, their wedding & reception venue, was a great reflection of Chelsea & Mark’s personalities. Khimaira is actually a goat farm (EPIC) and it is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Shenandoah Valley. Weather wise, the day was a dream – nothing but sun and not too hot! We couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Not only do I adore Chelsea & Mark, but I also love their families! It was so fun getting to meet everyone (at last!) on Saturday. I knew I was kindred spirits with the Carbos when Young Frankenstein was quoted not once, but TWICE in the first hour of photography coverage. Winning!

Can we talk about that mountain view?! Khimaira is STUNNING and the view speaks for itself. I could have stayed and just relaxed there all weekend. The staff and other vendors were wonderful, too. Mark & Chelsea put together the perfect vendor team! Some of my favorites from the day included: the epic ceremony setup with beautiful floral urns, Chelsea’s gorgeous wedding day look (absolutely perfect for the setting!), their hilarious and fun wedding party, and their CHEESE WHEEL CAKE (keep scrolling to see!!).
