Ah, what a day! Healy and Steve’s King Family Vineyards wedding was the perfect June wedding! This was truly a photographer’s dream.

I met Healy and Steve in January at their engagement session in Alexandria. I instantly loved them! Healy is always smiling and is also always hilarious. Steve is equally as joyful and so adorably sweet to his lady. They’re such naturals in front of the camera because they’re naturally adorable.

Just look at this!

The girls got ready in the most adorable house just two minutes down the road from King Family Vineyards. There were beautiful wood details and adorable accents all over the place. I’ve added a weekend getaway at this cozy cottage to my bucket list.

Healy’s gown! You guys! It was completely beaded and absolutely stunning! The detail was incredible. I’ve never seen anything like it!

We all know that a wedding at a Charlottesville winery is going to be gorgeous. It’s a given. But King Family Vineyards has totally stolen the show! The view is absolutely breathtaking. The mountains surround it on all four sides. They’ve got a beautiful stable with majestic horses galloping all around. It’s a wonderland. My photographer senses were tingling the minute I arrived!

Healy and Steve’s first look was SO SWEET. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride and groom so happy and emotional. They made me tear up! They also read letters to each other. It was such a precious moment to share right before becoming one!

This was an easy-going and fun crew! It didn’t hurt they were all really good looking.

The ceremony was set to be outdoors, and about 20 minutes before it began, an ominous cloud started heading our way. We could see the rain. No one knew if it would hit us or just miss us.

It hit us! Right as Healy was about to walk down the aisle, the wall of rain arrived. We all ran inside as fast as we could and continued the ceremony there! I was amazed how this did not phase Healy and Steve at all – they were simply happy and ready to get married!

Cheers Darling Events did a phenomenal job with this beautiful reception. Ever detail was perfect. The greens and blues were a perfect accent to the venue’s bright walls and wooden furniture. Also – the flower boxes! Stephen made them himself. I was impressed!

 

THERE WERE DONUTS. Healy and Steve win!

There was just so much to love about this wedding. So much thought went into each detail, and the guests were totally spoiled with all kinds of amazing surprises. Evan and I both said if we could have our own wedding again, we’d want it to be like this one!
