A Whimsical, Chic Garden Party at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens

This whimsical, chic garden wedding party was photographed by Cassie Tobias on Saturday May 13th at The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. Cassie Tobias is a photographer with La Vie En Rose Photography, based out of the DC metro.

This garden party was intimate, sweet, and overall a lovely celebration of this Kate and Alex’s love. When the rain came and disrupted the original plan of an outside wedding, the event was transitioned with ease indoors. And regardless of this change of plans, the day was relaxed & beautiful. The couple are both close with their family & friends – they even have a group they called the “core 13” which was made up of their parents, friends and close family. They even planned for a small private vow ceremony with the Core 13 prior to the bigger ceremony. Kate and Alex had a delightfully kind air to them. It was evident from the start of the day until their exit, just how much they absolutely adored each other.

The day had so many details that made the celebration feel like it was straight from a story book – the escort table had bookmarks that guest could take home, designed beautifully by Jessica Ashley Events, and the garden & whimsical vibe was enhanced with the vibrant florals and candlelit reception. The space inside the Atrium was breathtaking, for the windows allowed for rays natural light to shine. The couple even used a heirloom cake cutting set passed down in Alex’s family. Alex and Kate made sure to focus on their guests throughout the day to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. As their wedding wrapped up, it was evident just how much love Alex and Kate are surrounded by. We wish you nothing but the best in all future endeavors!
