Happy Valentine’s Day! Evan and I decided to go on a 6-month anniversary trip to Florida, and my sweet husband graciously agreed to let me plan a styled shoot right in the middle of our trip. These were seriously the two best gifts he could give me (thanks, Ev!). Miami’s Vizcaya is possibly the most beautiful wedding venue in all of Florida, and in the middle of February, a trip to Vizcaya should be on every wedding photographer’s list of priorities.

Soco & Ricardo Alicea are genuine, gracious, and fun-loving. Their love for each other is so obvious the moment you meet them. Their laughs, affection and smiles were so refreshing! I couldn’t help but laugh with them. They made our afternoon so much fun.

Soco has her own wedding design & planning business based out of Miami (which you should check out here!), and her vision for this styled shoot was spot-on. She selected Vizcaya as our venue and organized everything perfectly. Bonus: she’s absolutely gorgeous:

So the evening really was incredibly perfect. The sun was bright and warm, but not too hot. There were a few scattered puffy clouds. A light breeze was just enough to occasionally push back Soco’s curls. We could not have asked for better weather!
