This stylish couple proved that two weddings are better than one at their Sherwood Forest wedding this past October. Last October, Jody and Joey celebrated their new marriage in style in Sherwood Forest, Maryland. While it wasn’t the full wedding celebration they had been planning for, it was tasteful, beautiful and meaningful. We loved being a part of it! This fall, we felt extra lucky that we got to celebrate wedding #2 with this gorgeous couple in the exact same place!
Burying the bourbon really paid off for Jody and Joey – they had two absolutely beautiful days for their wedding weather-wise. Last year, it was a sunny 70 degrees without a cloud in the sky. Similarly, this year, it was totally sunny and bright, and the high was 78 degrees! Honestly, we didn’t think last year’s weather could be topped, but we were wrong!
Jody and Joey are infectiously lovable and fun-loving. Everyone loves them. There family and friends absolutely adore them, and are the best cheerleaders for their relationship that you could imagine. From the very beginning, Jody’s family made us feel welcome. It felt like seeing old friends when we walked in the door! What a special treat for us as wedding photographers!
Sherwood Forest is the most peaceful, pleasant setting for a wedding. Jody’s parents currently live in this secret gem of a place just north of Annapolis, Maryland. Many happy days were spent here as a family as Jody was growing up, and it has become a much-loved place for the couple over the years. This meaningful and nostalgic choice of venue made the wedding all the more special!
