This stunning styled engagement session at the D.C. Monuments with a bold pop of red was photographed by Cassie Tobias on Saturday, November 2, 2019. It’s no surprise that Washington D.C. has some of the most lovely architecture and buildings.  We always love when our couples choose the monuments for their engagement session, so I was thrilled when Hillary & Matt picked the Lincoln Memorial and the surrounding area for their session! These two woke up early this past Saturday at sunrise in order to brave the cold weather (temps in the mid 30s!!!) and after looking at their photos, I would say it was completely worth it because they are stunning!

Hillary & Matt are high school sweethearts that have been together for over ten years! I loved getting to hear about all about their relationship and proposal story, and how for the first time since high school, they are living in the same area!  I am seriously so impressed by how they’ve managed long distance on and off throughout their relationship! From the moment I met them, they both were so warm and easy to talk with, which made me feel like I was working with old friends!

Matt & Hillary chose an HBP Styled Engagement Session, which is basically like having your own personal styled shoot for your engagement! It included a beautiful bouquet by Ash to Oak Floristry and gorgeously styled hair and make-up by MAB Artistry. I absolutely loved seeing how all of their styling choices came together to create a classic and elegant look for their session.  Hillary’s choice of a bold red dress provided the perfect pop of color and she looked absolutely stunning, despite the freezing cold! (Don’t worry, there were plenty of coat breaks thrown in to warm up!)

I am so happy with how their photos turned out and I can’t stop looking at them! Hillary & Matt – thank you so much for choosing me to be your wedding photographer. I can’t wait for your wedding next August at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC!
