Soft, romantic hues, warm summer breeze and plenty of iconic D.C. moments were the theme of Ana Sofia & Kevin’s perfect wedding day at The Willard and D.C. War Memorial! I can’t imagine a wedding that is more quintessentially D.C. and I am so excited to share more!

Ana Sofia & Kevin were instantly some of my favorite people. We met last summer on a beautiful Saturday at sunrise. These two were so bubbly and sweet together, even in the early morning hours. I’m pretty sure we were together for like 3 hours because we were having so much fun! Our session hit a few of my very favorite engagement spots in D.C. – including the Jefferson Memorial, Union Station & the park with a view of the Capitol nearby. Cassie was there for the engagement session, too, so it was extra-fun having her along to second shoot on the wedding day!

Let’s be real: wedding parties can make or break how a wedding day goes. But this wedding party was so much fun. They all clearly adore the bride and groom so much. When I prompted the group to cheer as Ana Sofia & Kevin kissed, they were super enthusiastic and had so much fun with it! All of them were also incredibly supportive when we showed up, photo permit in hand, only to find another wedding party also taking photos! It all worked out in the end, and this crew totally killed it!

Some favorite parts of the day include: Ana’s gorgeous bouquet whose peonies opened at just the right time for photos, Ana & Kevin’s private first dance before guests arrived from cocktail hour, the gorgeous D.C. War Memorial backdrop, and Ana’s stunning gown which literally looked PERFECT on her! There was so much laughter and joy that filled this day. What an honor to be a part of it! Enjoy my favorites!
