The bride and groom dressed and prepared for their wedding day, with the help of their closest friends and family, in the eccentric rooms of YoursTruly Hotel in Washington DC. The day was to be filled with unique, personalized touches, good food, and surrounded by their closest loved ones. 

After Vi’s veil was placed and her dress bow tied, we headed to the beautiful grounds of The Tudor Place, where Daniel & Vi would share their first looks. As I photographed the couple, the gardens painted the image as though they were wandering through Europe;s countryside. Something about The Tudor Place’s garden always feels like one of DC’s best kept secrets. The flowers, vibrant in pastels and the grass, a luscious green. I couldn’t get enough images of the couple wandering through, hand in hand. When it came time to the ceremony, we found ourselves back at the hotel among an intimate and adoring group of friends and family. Vi & Daniel are big foodies, and couldn’t allow their big day to go to waste so the bride made sure to request a photo of herself digging into a donut! You got to love a good donut! We snapped some images of the new Mr. & Mrs. looking through records in the downstairs hotel lobby vinyl shop and snapped a couple more shots of them holding up favorite albums. Such a fun, unique twist of a DC wedding! The excitement and love in the air was robust as the reception ensued.

Getting the opportunity to share the day with this couple was a true honor. Vi & Daniel were one of the sweetest duos I have photographed and I have no doubt that their marriage will be filled with kindness, laughter, and love. I wish them the absolute best in all of their future endeavors!
