Your primary role as an intern is to assist our team photographers, document behind-the-scenes footage, and assist with daily tasks in our Old Town, Alexandria stuido.
You will come with the team to wedding days and act as a general assistant to the team photographers while also shooting behind-the-scenes footage on an iPhone. This footage is saved for you to later create Instagram stories and reels to share on our team account.
You will also work in our studio for a few hours each week, helping with general tasks and learning more about how our photography business operates.
This is a non-shooting internship, meaning that the pressure is off to deliver photos to clients! Our hope for you is that you will learn what it's really like to be a wedding photographer and gain a fuller understanding of the job from start to finish.
This is a part-time position and is unpaid, although we will happily fill out the necessary paperwork to make sure you get school credit. Our interns assist on as many wedding days as their schedule allows, but we aim for 75-80% attendance for the weddings on the calendar.
Assist team photographers on wedding days and at photo shoots.
Document photos and videos behind-the-scenes during weddings and photo shoots.
Post Instagram stories of behind-the-scenes footage to team account & create other social media content.
Generally assist with various daily tasks required to run the studio.
Attend fun team events + get-togethers periodically.
Work for 3-5 hours/week in our studio in addition to wedding days.
Zero wedding photography experience needed to apply!
