Can I say much more than “WOW” about this gorgeous, elegant Sarasota Yacht Club Wedding? Marissa & Dustin were wed on the most glorious February afternoon in Sarasota, FL and my heart could have burst with joy!

The HBP team headed down to Florida a week earlier, and we photographed weddings, engagements and editorials around Tampa, Sarasota & Naples for most of February! It was an honor to be chosen for Marissa and Dustin’s beautiful wedding, and the photos say it all. What a perfect day!

Unlike most of my couples, I hadn’t met Marissa or Dustin until the day-of! That honestly didn’t matter at all though, because they felt like instant friends. Marissa is warm, inviting and a friend to everyone. She has a great sense of humor and treated us with such kindness and love! We felt like a part of the family! Seeing Dustin’s face as she walked down the aisle spoke volumes of their deep love and relationship. Every part of the day was perfect!

Being a Sarasota wedding photographer has been a goal of HBP for several years. As a D.C.-based business, it’s harder to connect with locals and network with other wedding professionals. I am so thankful for Erica, of The 7th Floor Plan, who has been partnering with me to book weddings in Florida for the last year. I photographed her wedding last February north of Tampa, and we’ve been friends ever since!

Some of my favorite parts of Marissa and Dustin’s wedding day: their gorgeous blue, cream and gold color palette, hopping aboard Marissa’s family yacht for photos, the penthouse suite where the girls got ready, riding the Sarasota Trolley and seeing Marissa’s late mother honored in such a beautiful way all throughout the wedding day. This wedding truly was such a joy to photograph! So excited to share some of my favorites with you!
