Yes, I know what you’re wondering right now: since when does Hannah photograph celebrity model weddings?! Samantha and James are cover-of-a-magazine status every day. But on their wedding day, WOW! Their love and excitement to be married radiated pure beauty and joy all day long! It really felt like I was photographing two models!

I met Sam & James last fall after Kristen & Sandro referred them to me. As soon as I met these two, I adored them! Sam described the vision for her wedding – lots of neutrals and white with greenery, classic and clean style, a little bit earthy. Basically, all the things I love. James was fully supportive and involved in the wedding planning process without being overbearing. It was incredibly obvious how important it was to him that Sam was happy! Their laid-back yet careful planning has been obvious from start to finish!

As soon as I arrived at The Icona in Avalon, NJ (where the girls were getting ready), I knew it was going to be a gorgeous day. The sun was shining, and with a high of 70 degrees, we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather. Sam picked out the prettiest details, down to her shoes and perfume bottle!

Let’s talk about gorgeous venues: The Reeds at Shelter Haven is an absolutely stunning wedding venue! This couple did an incredible job styling it perfectly and creating a relaxing, enjoyable experience for their guests (also, the fish was incredible…!). I’m a huge fan!

Some of my favorite parts of Sam and James’ day include their waterfront ceremony (which Sam’s brother did an AMAZING job of officiating!), gorgeous beach portraits, firepits during the reception, and, most of all, the first look (I think James’ reaction to seeing his bride may be my all-time favorite!). I am so thrilled to be sharing all my faves from the day!
