Another gorgeous engagement session in the book, and one of my first in 2019! Spring is finally starting to show itself, and after several days of cold and rain, I met Pippa and Jake in Old Town Alexandria on an unusually warm evening. We’ve been talking back and forth over email for the past 9 months, but because they live in Chicago, I hadn’t met Pippa and Jake yet! I was so excited to spend time getting to know this sweet couple and hear more about their wedding day plans.

After what felt like a never-ending winter, it was a pleasant surprise to have such lovely weather! We had some beautiful sunshine and the high was in the 60s. Everyone was out and about, roaming the Old Town streets, and we did our best to avoid the crowds. Several of my favorite spots were busier than usual, so we roamed all around the area and even found some new spots that I love!

Pippa and Jake are the type of couple that you feel like you’ve known your whole life. They are so comfortable around each other and don’t take themselves to seriously. They made me laugh the entire evening and I’m already so excited for their wedding this June at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club! After even just a couple hours with these two, I know it’s going to be a fantastic party!
