Can you imagine a more classic, elegant D.C. wedding that Chrissy & Michael’s wedding at Washington Golf & Country Club? This beautiful spring wedding had the most beautifully elegant D.C. touches. Soft, warm pink hues, black tuxes, a classic D.C. backdrop, and the classiest wedding party easily made this wedding one of my favorites, style-wise, in a long time!

I was so thrilled when Chrissy and Michael chose to do their first look and wedding portraits at the War Memorial! The War Memorial in Washington, D.C. is one of my favorite classic D.C. wedding photo spots. White marble, beautiful architecture and a general classic “D.C.” look make this a perfect spot for wedding photos. Also, the War Memorial is tucked away in a more private spot, close to the Lincoln Memorial, but hidden by a patch of trees which most tourists won’t even notice. When Chrissy and Michael mentioned wanting to go to the Lincoln Memorial for their photos, but also wanted a private spot for their first look, I knew this would be the perfect spot. We were in luck, because the Lincoln Memorial is under construction so we wouldn’t have been able to shoot there anyways!

Chrissy and Michael are both skilled shooters and competed at the national level. Many of their friends and wedding guests are also skilled shooters, which I thought was SO impressive and very cool! Their wedding party was a joyful, hilarious group and I loved working with them! Every part of this wedding day was so smooth (thanks very much to the amazing Laura of Ida Rose Events!).

My favorite parts of the day included the gorgeous, soft color palette, Chrissy’s stunning gown that fit her perfectly, the beautiful reception table design, including the prettiest goblets I’ve ever seen, and the flower photo wall. I could list a million things about this wedding that I loved, but instead I’ll just share some of my very favorite photos!
