This elegant & refined spring wedding at the Ashton Depot in Fort Worth, Texas was photographed by Hannah Bjorndal on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Hannah is a Washington, D.C.-based wedding photographer available for travel nationally and internationally.
Last weekend, we took our very first trip to Fort Worth, Texas for an unforgettable wedding celebration! Vada & Hal were married on Saturday on TCU’s Robert Carr Chapel and then took the party downtown to the Ashton Depot in Fort Worth. All the details of the day were a classically elegant & refined, and we had so much fun being a part of this special day!
I met Hal & Vada through a mutual friend (Hi, Lis!!!) here in Washington, D.C. The sweet couple was looking for a photographer who could be in both D.C. and Fort Worth for an engagement session and then wedding, and I was thrilled that they picked me!
In the fall, we had tons of fun in downtown D.C. visiting the Jefferson & Lincoln Memorial for Hal and Vada’s engagement session. Immediately, it was obvious that these two are extra photogenic! The chemistry that they share is undeniable. It’s always a treat to photograph a couple that fit so perfectly together, and their special connection made my job so easy!
It truly was a treat to be a part of this wedding day. We felt particularly welcomed and loved by the Harbour family, who were incredibly gracious and thankful to us. The strong family bond that the Harbours share touched both Evan and I, and we left feeling the love! To any Harbours reading along, THANK YOU!
Thank you also to the amazing Kristin Mullen of Events by Kristin, who planned and executed Vada’s vision so beautifully! She was an absolute delight to work with and made the wedding day go so smoothly. DFW brides, I highly recommend working with her!
There were SO many details of the day that I would consider “favorites,” but highlights included their delicately iced wedding cake, colorful bridesmaids robes, and the GORGEOUS ceremony in Robert Carr Chapel. My two absolute favorite parts of the day happened at the very end of the night: First, the couple shared a last dance, just the two of them, after everyone else exited the venue. It was SO romantic and made me cry! Second, Vada surprised everyone with a fireworks display as the new Mr. & Mrs. Snedden drove off at the end of the night. People went nuts, it was amazing!
