I began my photography journey at the beginning of 2018 as an apprentice and assistant to Hannah Bjorndal. We worked closely together on wedding days for months, and I became completely immersed in Hannah's signature style and methodology.  It was the most natural and seamless transition when we officially joined forces later in the year, eventually becoming La Vie En Rose!

But the true capstone experience of my wedding photography education came when I became a bride myself and experienced the other side of the wedding photography relationship. My appreciation for the beauty and sacredness of wedding days deepened, as did my understanding of how to document a day with authenticity and attention to the details that matter most.

When I am not photographing couples, I enjoy hiking and outdoor picnic adventures with my husband Michael and son Obi, weight lifting or the occasional barre class in Alexandria, and scoping out the coziest coffee shops that I can find in the DMV!
