Along with the history and politics, one of the first things you might think of when you think of Washington DC is the crowds and traffic.  But one of my favorite parts of DC is the mornings at sunrise! If you’re willing to wake up at the crack of dawn, you just might find that you can have the monuments practically to yourself.  This was definitely the case for Lenna & Alex’s session! Not to mention that the light on the morning of their session was truly perfect!

Lenna & Alex chose do have their session at the Lincoln Memorial and reflecting pool and the DC Memorial.  These are some of my favorite spots in DC for a session!  Even with the cicadas and the June humidity, these two looked absolutely stunning during their session.  Something that I thought was really sweet was that Lenna’s beautiful engagement ring was an heirloom from Alex’s grandmother!

One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is getting to know a little bit about a couple and how they met and what they like to do! These two are no stranger to DC – they met when they were in college at American University, which made this session really special! They love traveling (and already have big travel plans for this coming year to Italy!), eating at local DC spots, and cheering on the Washington Nats! From the moment I met them, I really enjoyed their easy-going nature and the genuineness sweetness between them. It made my job so easy!
