Our 2019 wedding fall season closed with one of the most wonderful weddings at the InterContinental Washington D.C. at the Wharf! Normally when you are preparing for a December wedding, you anticipate cold weather, gloomy skies, and maybe even a little bit of snow but Maggie & Trey’s day was actually the complete opposite!  These two had weather in the upper 60s and sunny skies all day, making it the perfect atmosphere for the joyous celebration!

Upon meeting Maggie & Trey for their engagement session back in September, I just knew that working with them would be so easy and natural. From the beginning, they trusted me with their wedding photography and I am so glad they did! Not only do these two look absolutely stunning together, I couldn’t help but notice how they sweetly looked at each other and interacted throughout the day.

It’s always special when you get to work with one of your favorite wedding vendors and for this wedding it was even more so because I got to work with Angelica & Co, who did the planning & coordination of my very own wedding! Angelica truly brought Maggie & Trey’s wedding vision to life. Their wedding was so incredibly elegant and classy with the black and white tones in the wedding party attire, sparkling gold accents, and with white florals and flowing greenery by Springvale Floral Farm & Design.  The design for this wedding was absolutely stunning!

Their simple yet incredibly heartfelt ceremony took place in the Seaport Room at the InterContinental.  I love that Maggie & Trey decided to do things a little differently and enter the ceremony and walk down the aisle together.  This was such a sweet moment! Their reception took place in the Waterside Ballroom and it was quite the celebration!  I don’t think there was a moment where the dance floor was empty thanks to the Dan McGuire Group!
