I first met Katie & Jake over a year ago in July of 2020 for their engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial! We spent their session walking along the Monuments, taking beautiful photos, and getting to know each other! I really loved that they brought their German Shepherd Max to their session – and I have to say, she is probably one of the best behaved dogs I’ve ever photographed!

If you haven’t been to Stone Tower Winery, you truly must! It is one of my favorite wineries in the Leesburg area and it’s absolutely wonderful! The views are so stunning and the venue is truly the most perfect place for a wedding!  Katie & Jake truly had the most beautiful, sunny weather for their day and it wasn’t too cold or too hot! It was easy to tell how much their family & friends loved them and were so ready to celebrate their union.  Katie wore a lovely chiffon dress with ruched sleeves and a delicate long veil – she and Jake looked so gorgeous together!

Katie & Jake’s first look in the vines was so incredibly sweet. While there is no right or wrong way to structure your wedding day, I always love it when a couple decide to do a first look because it allows for some time for just the two of them to be together before all the festivities begin. Some of my favorite parts of the day aside from Katie & Jake’s first look in the vines were the ceremony overlooking the beautiful Virginia mountains, their photos with their dog Max, the delicious Pittsburgh Cookie table, the dance floor that was full the entire evening, and the s’mores pit on the patio!
