What an AMAZING wedding weekend this has been! Evan & I traveled down to Charleston, SC for Rachel & Greg’s romantic Charleston wedding this past weekend, and it was SO MUCH FUN! The wedding day was filled with gorgeous jewel tones, warm, sunny skies, and tons of love & laughter!

Honestly, I’m not even sure where to begin! Rachel & Greg were referred to me by Healy & Stephen, who just so happen to be one of my fantastic couples from 2016 AND two of my favorite people. I remembered meeting Rachel & Greg at their wedding and was so pumped when they asked me to shoot their wedding in Charleston!

Rachel’s maids of honor said it best: these two are a power couple. Rachel is the trifecta of beautiful, funny & smart. Greg is her perfect compliment and the two laugh so easily when they’re together. I feel like I can understand D.C. couples in a very special way because we live similar lives: demanding jobs, TONS of fun things to explore together, and an appreciation & respect for being equals in the relationship. In particular, I really appreciate couples who have a strong friendship – whose relationship is clearly deeper than just the superficial. It’s so obvious that Rachel & Greg have this! I guess dating for eleven years (or, as Greg told me, ten years) really proves the depth of a relationship!

So this wedding had SO many things to love, I literally don’t have enough space on this post to list them all. Some highlights: stunning jewel tone floral arrangements by OK Florist, Rachel & Greg’s sweet and sentimental first look, the crazy-beautiful reception space at the Cedar Room with styling and planning by Nicki Shriver of Pinnacle, The Ricalde’s custom-made neon sign, and MOST importantly, Rachel’s surprise rap for Greg. Seriously, you guys. This is a MUST WATCH. I was blown away!
