On the week leading up to Leigh & Daniel’s wedding there was a lot of rain in the forecast for their big day.  But as luck would have it, their wedding day was completely rain free and turned out to be absolutely lovely, which worked out perfectly for their outdoor ceremony that took place on the lawn of Whitehall Estate!

I first met Leigh & Daniel in the summer of 2020 for their engagement session in Old Town Alexandria.  They were prepping for a big move to Alaska in a few weeks and it was so good to get to meet them before they made the move!!! Leigh & Daniel were so easy to work from the start – they were kind, easy-going, and a lot of fun to be around! 

Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived on their day, I could just tell how much Leigh & Daniel’s family and friends loved them and how excited they were to celebrate their marriage! The details of this day were so carefully planned and curated with special meaning behind so many things such as a gorgeous invitation suite with navy accents and a personalized ring box, sweet notes that Leigh & Daniel wrote to one another, a personalized cake knife set and champagne glasses and a ring with diamonds from Leigh’s grandmother’s ring.  Leigh wore a stunning gown with delicate lace detailing on the back and a stunning long veil and Daniel wore his Air Force dress uniform. I cannot get over how perfect these two looked together – so gorgeous!

Some of my favorite parts of their day include the sweet first looks with Leigh and her dad and Leigh and Daniel, Leigh’s father officiating the wedding, the vows that Leigh read to Daniel’s daughter Emma as a surprise during the ceremony, the Saber Arch saluting the newly married couple at the end of the ceremony, Leigh’s personalized TOMS that she wore at the reception, the full size and mini cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes and the country line dances that kept the dance floor full for the majority of the evening! Wow, what a a wonderful day it was!

Leigh & Daniel, it was an absolute honor to be a part of your wedding day, it was a perfect day! Thank you for trusting me as your photographer! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!
