This joy-filled fall wedding at Wrightsville Manor was photographed by Hannah Bjorndal on Tuesday, October 15 in Wrightsville, NC. What an absolutely delight it was to be a part of Hannah and Tomme’s wedding day last Tuesday! Their wedding day was filled with some of my favorite things: warm weather, puppy kisses, the beach and lots of laughter!

Hannah and Tomme originally found me through Instagram and we connected quickly over the fact that we are both Hannah W’s (my maiden name is Williams!). I’d be dreaming of shooting at Wrightsville Manor, so I was thrilled to find that this was the venue these two chose! I was even more thrilled that their wedding was on a Tuesday since they booked me about 6 months in advance and most of my fall was already full!

Throughout their wedding day, I kept learning more and more about this couple that made me feel super-connected to them. Hannah and I both have Yorkies (her Yorkie girl Rosie is SO sweet!) and Tomme has a Golden Retriever, Captain (which is the breed of dog that Evan grew up with!). They went to the Greek Isles on their honeymoon (Evan and I just returned from there a few weeks previously!) and Hannah loves the tiramisu (my favorite dessert, too!)! The Scheffel family quoted White Christmas several times (my favorite Christmas movie!) and Hannah’s family are Pittsburgh fans (my home city!). I could probably list a hundred more things I had in common with them and it was so fun discovering these things throughout the day!

Not only was this my first wedding in North Carolina, it was also my first wedding working with the fabulous Shauna of Shauna Loves Planning Events! She and her team are so organized and professional, and they made the day such a breeze for us!

Some of my favorite parts of the day included: Hannah’s beautifully styled hair & makeup, portraits on the beach with Hannah & Tomme, Hannah’s brother’s Steelers socks, hanging out with each of their sweet families, and of course, getting to pet Rosie & Captain!
