Hello, Abe! We were back at the Lincoln Memorial this week to photograph Emily & Chris on this most perfect late summer morning. After a rainy, yucky 2018, 2019 has proven to be SUCH a gorgeous, sunny year! Here’s to hoping it continues so we can keep shooting the most gorgeous engagement photos and anniversary photos at the D.C. monuments!

I actually had to double-check the calendar that it had, in fact, been TWO years since I photographed this sweet couple’s wedding at Whitehall Estate. Can I just tell you that there is no greater honor than being asked to photograph an anniversary session for a past couple of mine? Chris & Emily have been planning this one for a while, so I’ve had a lot of time to get excited to shoot them!

Chris & Emily’s wedding day was the very first of one of the busiest wedding seasons I ever had! I can so clearly remember the excitement I felt on the drive to their wedding. It’s crazy how much has changed in my business since then, and yet I still get those same excited butterflies before each and every wedding I shoot!

Because the Jefferson Memorial is currently under construction, I’ve been spending even more time than usual at the Lincoln Memorial and surrounding areas. Jefferson has always been my go-to, but as of late, I think Lincoln is becoming my favorite! I love that this area also includes the Reflecting Pool and the WWI & WWII Memorials. There is so much variety all in one space! Engaged couples, I highly recommend this spot!
