Let’s be honest, this wedding is almost TOO pretty! Brooke & Danny tied the knot last Thursday, April 12 at Maymont in Richmond, VA on the most BEAUTIFUL spring day. In the midst of an extra-cold, extra-rainy spring season, I truly think that Brooke & Danny’s marriage brought us warmth and light!

Brooke & I met at WeddingWire nearly 5 years ago. We were on the same team within the company, and we had the same last name (before I got married!), and sat right next to each other in the months before I left the job. I always loved working with Brooke – she’s super smart, has a great sense of humor, and we complained about all the same things (HA!). When I left WeddingWire, I knew she’d be one of the people I missed most!

Fast forward a couple years: Brooke gives me a call to tell me she is ENGAGED! I was so honored that she asked me to photograph her wedding, and I’ve been excited about this day for well over a year!

One thing that stood out to me at this wedding was how uniquely perfect Danny & Brooke are for one another. Watching them dance together was one of my favorite things! They are connected in a special way that only the two of them truly understand, and I loved seeing them finally become one! Another particularly touching aspect of the wedding was Brooke’s tight family bond. The way her sisters and parents looked at her, absolutely filled to the brim with love, joy and pride, was striking. It was a joy to bear witness to such a special day in their family!

My favorite details of the day included the soft, super-pretty color palette that Brooke chose, the donut table (obviously) and the outdoor cocktail hour in the most lovely and peaceful spot in the garden. I also adore the luscious bouquet and the gorgeous tablescapes (designed by The Posey Detail and the super-stylish Brooke!).

This wedding was lovely in every sense of the word, and I’m so excited to share it with you!
