Pastel hues and dreamy summer vibes set the scene for the start of our summer wedding season with Grace & Steve! Rust Manor House is one of my FAVORITE wedding venues in Northern Virginia, and June is one of my FAVORITE months of the year! The newlywed Kaczowkas certainly know how to speak this wedding photographer’s love language!

Oh, what to say first about this beautiful wedding? Grace & Steve have excellent taste, and Liz Theal of Claire Duran Wedding & Events did an incredible job making their vision come to life! The colors, the style, and the general ambiance was elegant & joyful. Bridesmaids & groomsmen alike were SO easy and pleasant to work with, even in the heat! It truly was a dream!

Very early on, I was excited for Grace & Steve’s wedding. They were so laid back about their rainy engagement session in the fall, and also incredibly photogenic! As plans for their wedding developed, I loved more and more of what I was hearing. But even so, the end results definitely exceeded expectations!

Leading up to the wedding day, it seemed that every wedding-related event involved rain. The engagement session, the venue walkthrough – every moment that involved wedding planning seemed to also involve rain, and so Grace and Steve started to think rain was bound to be a part of their wedding day as well. I watched the weather all week, and there was a really strong chance of rain and storms all day long. Even on the morning of, it looked like we’d be getting a thunderstorm mid-afternoon. However we had nothing but SUN and puffy white clouds until 9pm! Praises!

Some of my favorite elements of the day included the couple’s signature Bourbon Spice Rack cocktail, the gorgeous pastel florals designed Holly Chapple, Grace’s beautiful wedding gown (she added those delicate off-shoulder sleeves – SO pretty!), and Steve’s surprise choreographed dance for Grace! Everything was perfect, and it was such a fun day to photograph!
