It was a chilly, yet beautiful Sunday sunrise when I got the chance to finally meet Nadia and Subhi face to face for their engagements session! A few days before I got the unfortunate news that Subhi ruptured his achilles tendon just a week prior but was getting the cast off in time for the photos. They assured me they were excited and prepared to move forward with the session, so I knew we would definitely be taking it slow and steady for Subhi’s recovering foot. Let’s just say that Subhi won the MVP award of the day for climbing the steps of Meridian Hill Park! Lucky for me that just meant I got more time to learn more about their love story in between photos!

The more I learned about them, the more I had to relate with them to my own story of meeting my husband. From long distance, to a quick engagement – “when you know, you know” is very evident in the story of Nadia and Subhi’s relationship. They met online and knew they had something real. The more they got to know each other, they both shared their love for their family and soon found out after having their families meet that they not only get along, but loved hanging out with each other like old friends! I think it’s safe to say that they had their parents’ blessing and support.

Within only 3 months of dating, Subhi popped the question and obviously Nadia said YES! Their teamwork during the session was the sweetest as Nadia held Subhi up to make sure he wasn’t putting pressure on his foot during each pose. As you can see from the final result, it’s hard to even tell he has an injury! To me, that just shows the comfort they have with each other and that nothing will get them down. They are perfect for each other and I cannot wait to celebrate with them on their wedding day!
