Every time I get out to photograph an engagement session or wedding, I can’t help but think about just how lucky I am to get to work with such wonderful couples – and Leigh & Daniel were truly wonderful to work with! I am always so excited when a couple chooses Old Town Alexandria for their session because it’s incredibly lovely in the early morning and you almost have the entire waterfront to yourself at sunrise!

Leigh & Daniel wanted to get their engagement session in before their big move to Alaska in a few weeks! Old Town Alexandria is special to them both because it’s where Daniel lived when they first started dating and they have many memories there! I cannot say it enough; a sunrise session is almost always the way to go!  We had the entire waterfront area mostly to ourselves and the golden glow from the sun rising over the water was breathtaking.  These two are such a stunning couple and I had so much fun taking their photos!

Leigh & Daniel were so easy to work with and laid back with choosing locations for their photos in Old Town! They even suggest a few spots that I haven’t tried before and that I now love!!! I loved getting to chat with them about their wedding plans for next year, their cats (one of which is a new addition!), and their amazing trip to Greece last summer where Daniel proposed! Talk about an amazing spot to get engaged!!! I truly loved getting to know them better!
