Lots of love and nostalgia filled Cat & Matt’s wedding day in Hilton Head Island last Saturday! I’ve known Matt and his family since I was FOUR years old, so this was an extra special one for me!

Can you imagine a more relaxing, fun, beachy experience than an Omni Hilton Head Island wedding. Set right on the beach, the Omni is a gorgeous resort right in the middle of the Palmetto Dunes community. It’s oceanfront property was the perfect treat for all the guests traveling from out of state!

Cat and I met last summer, by coincidence, at Seven Oaks Pool in Beaver, PA. I was in town visiting my family, and Cat was spending time with Matt’s family. I ran into Matt’s mom, starting talking about an email I received from her future daughter-in-law about wedding photography, and was delighted to find that she was about 20 feet away. Ha!!! Perfect timing!

I cannot begin to tell you how special it was to photograph someone I’ve known for so long marry the love of his life! It was truly surreal photographing all the major moments – the first look, the ceremony, the first dance, the cake cutting – all of it was CRAZY! We went to pre-school together!!

  There were also several other guests that I’ve known my whole life – both classmates and parents. It was basically a high school reunion, and it was awesome. Matt had eleven groomsmen, and ten of them were guys from my hometown of Beaver, PA. I suspected that there would be several people I knew at this wedding, but I had no idea just how many people would be from my graduating class!

Watching the way these two look at each other says it all. Cat and Matt are a perfect fit in every way! The joy that filled this day was incredible. Some of my favorite moments included Cat and Matt’s sweet, private first look, working with the amazing Stems by Syd (who did my own wedding flowers!), the mother-son dance, during which Matt invited all his guys friends to dance with their moms, and the beautiful ocean view. I could actually go on all day about favorites because this day was so much fun!
