I think that the DC Monuments have been my number one requested engagement spot of the year – and I am so here for it! It is no secret that the monuments at sunrise are one of the most lovely DC experiences you can get! When watching the sun rise over the horizon at the Lincoln Memorial, you get some of the most stunning views of the city with the reflecting pool and Washington Monument. This past Thursday morning proved to be no different!

Lauren & Eric were an absolute delight to spend my morning with. They’ve been together for a long time, with a good portion of their relationship being long distance (which I think is absolutely incredible!).  I loved hearing that they are constantly on the lookout for a new coffee shops and restaurants to try and really enjoy traveling! I was thrilled when they chose the Monuments for their engagement session because there are so many locations for beautiful photos.  We spent the morning at the Lincoln Memorial and reflecting pool, and ended the session at Constitution Gardens with its early fall colors and wispy weeping willow trees. It was so nice to have a good amount of time to walk around the area while getting to know more about them and their plans for their wedding day!

There was so much pure joy and laughter in Lauren & Eric’s session, which made my job so easy! They were an absolute joy to photograph! I loved that they chose two different outfits for their session, which provided a lot of variety and they looked absolutely incredible together
