Wow, what an unexpected sort of year this has been! This year was not how I thought it would turn out but with every wedding and engagement session, I have become more and more grateful for our HBP couples and their resiliency and flexibility.  We say it all the time – we truly feel like we have the best couples in the world!

My 2020 season ended on a bright note with Mara & Shane’s sunrise session at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington DC! Third time was truly the charm for this session! We had to reschedule because of rain not just once, but twice! But after seeing these photos, I would say it was absolutely worth it!

From our first interactions through phone calls and emails, I could just tell that Mara & Shane were an incredibly sweet couple.  They were so incredibly flexible when it came to rescheduling their session multiple times and absolute champs through the very cold morning session that we had! I loved getting to hear about how this year has been for them and the ways they’ve been keeping busy through a global pandemic as well as how they met! They both share a love for travel and actually got in engaged in France last year!

I absolutely love how their photos turned out in this session!  They look incredibly stunning in these photos! It was definitely a perfect way for me to end this unusual 2020 wedding season.
