What a treat it was to photograph this elegant couple in Georgetown last week! Alex and Zack arrived to the Georgetown Waterfront Park looking like models and ready to enjoy a sunrise session! I am always so grateful when our couples agree to have their session at sunrise, especially in the summer! The weather is cooler, there are no crowds and we can choose practically any location that we’d like!

Zack and Alex both went to Georgetown University, although at different times and for different degrees. It felt very fitting to have their session here! Georgetown is a favorite location of mine for engagement sessions in DC. There are so many lovely spots for photos, the possibilities are honestly endless! A few of my favorite locations include the Georgetown Waterfront Park, along the C&O canal, the University’s campus and further north on O St and P St.

Lately, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous in DC. We are finally coming out of our quarantined days, which means that all of our sessions that had to be postponed are now rescheduling to now! We’ve been super busy at HBP and so very thankful for consistent gorgeous weather (especially in the mornings!).

Alex and Zack have effortless style and fun personalities. They compliment each other beautifully and know how to have fun together. Even at 6am, they were lighthearted and such a joy to photograph! We are already SO looking forward to their upcoming wedding at District Winery – it’s going to be so gorgeous!
