After over 4 months without photographing a wedding, Amy & Robert’s wedding day was a much-welcomed day of celebration! Originally, I was scheduled to shoot a wedding in Pennsylvania today, and Amy and Robert were working with a totally different photography team! However, because of the stay-at-home orders amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Amy and Robert decided to move their wedding date to August. The coronavirus, however, could not stop these two from officially tying the knot on their original date of April 25, 2020!

I was more emotional that usual at this beautiful celebration of love! The words spoken during the ceremony were beautiful and true, and the genuine joy on Amy and Robert’s face reminded me again of the true meaning behind all the celebration and festivities on a wedding day! Everything was simply and wonderfully beautiful about this ceremony!

Something special that Amy and Robert did was invite their wedding guests to drive by in their cars to celebrate after the ceremony. Amy’s brother, suited up in protective gear, distributed little bottles of champagne to each “guest” as they drove by. Guests brought signs, balloons, new puppies and lots and lots of cheer to celebrate this special moment! All guests also affirmed how excited they are for the big celebration in August!

I’m honored that Amy and Robert asked me to be there for such a special and intimate gathering! It was a joy to witness and I loved being behind the camera again!
