Monday’s engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial had all of my favorite things – warm sunshine, adorable puppy and the sweetest engaged couple! This session was so cozy and festive, and now I’m really excited for the upcoming holiday season! Looking at this gorgeous gallery is definitely easing the pain of freezing temps that blew in right afterwards.

Let’s start with this couple’s style: I loved the colors and outfits Elisabeth & DJ chose! They are absolutely perfect for the season! And in all honesty I need to find out where Elisabeth got that sweater because I’m in love with it! These two nailed the comfortable and classic look and it was a perfect fit for all of the pretty locations that we visited around the Lincoln Memorial.

Something I love about the D.C. Monuments is that there are so many options for how to dress. Some couples get really formal and fancy, while others keep it a little more casual and comfortable. The white marble of the buildings and surrounding greenery are basically a blank canvas, and I love creating different looks that match the style of each couple!

Elisabeth and DJ squeezed in their engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial on what I’m pretty sure is the very last warm day of the season! We had the most beautiful afternoon weather on Monday – sunny and 70 degrees! I actually scooted all the way to the Lincoln from my home (LOL thanks, Bird!) and it was glorious despite taking an accidental detour. I wish this beautiful, warm, sunshiney weather would stay forever!
