Wow, this beautiful fall wedding day could not have been more perfect! This was our first wedding with Kristina from Birch Event & Design, and we certainly hope it isn’t our last! She did a spectacular job creating the most romantic setting for Lauren & Giles’ wedding day!

I first met Lauren & Giles (and their pup Hammy!) at Grand Cru Wine Bar in Arlington, Virginia. From the start, they were both so easy to talk to and I loved hearing about their vision for their wedding.  It was so exciting to see how beautifully everything came together on their day! Hammy, their sweet Springer spaniel pup (who is also named after the place where Lauren & Giles met – the Hamilton!), was also able to join in on the fun on their day by snagging a few photos with his newly wedded parents and having a special cocktail named after him!

There were so many sweet moments during their day.  Lauren had a very special “something blue” that was a handkerchief that had her new initials sewn in that was made from her mother’s wedding dress.  Weddings can often be bittersweet for those with loved ones that have passed away, but Lauren & Giles honored Lauren’s mom by calling everyone onto the dance floor after their first dance, to dance to “Come on Eileen.”  When I say the dance floor was completely full, I mean it – every single person was out of their seats!

Lauren & Giles picked the perfect venue for their cocktail hour and reception. Chantilly National Golf & Country Club had a little bit of everything that they were looking for: beautiful landscape that showed off the beautiful fall foliage, a small stream that runs through the course into a lake, and the ballroom that was converted from a former dairy barn.   Some other details to note from their day are the stunning gown that Lauren wore, the gorgeous floral bouquets and details by Rocking Bird Flower Co. that worked perfectly with the fall colors of the bridesmaids burgundy dresses, the heartfelt speeches during the reception, and the sunshine that came out just in time for Lauren & Giles’ portraits.

Congratulations Lauren & Giles, your wedding was absolutely wonderful and I loved being a part of your day!
