This soft, romantic May wedding at Herrington on the Bay was photographed by Hannah Bjorndal on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Hannah is a Herrington on the Bay wedding photographer. She is available for weddings in Washington, D.C., the Chesapeake Bay area, and beyond.
Herrington on the Bay has long been a favorite wedding venue of mine, and it did not disappoint for Lindsay & Brian’s Memorial Day Weekend wedding! Cool breeze, warm sunshine and LOTS of love filled their wedding day this past Saturday!
Lindsay and Brian met at Dickinson College on their first day of school – how perfect is that? Years later, they finally tied the knot and celebrated in the most beautiful place. I was thrilled to be a part of it!
It was about a year ago that Lindsay and Brian reached out to me about wedding photography. We had been connected through a mutual photographer friend, and I was instantly drawn to Lindsay’s bubbly, sweet personality! I’m pretty sure it was literally one or two days after our first conversation that we met at the Jefferson Memorial for their engagement session! Instant friendship!
One thing I really appreciate about Lindsay and Brian is that they were equally dedicated to making their wedding day incredibly unique and special. Brian asked such good questions and made great recommendations for photos all along the way. Lindsay’s classic style guided the whole vibe for the day without it being stuffy or overly formal. Their tented reception was absolute perfection, with it’s gorgeous scenic view over the Chesapeake Bay. It was one of those weddings that I wished I could be a guest at!
So let’s talk about what I mean when I say “LOTS of love” . . . Lindsay and Brian had 24 people in their wedding party! This was definitely the largest wedding party I’d ever worked with! I really loved that Lindsay & Brian chose to do some smaller group photos as well as one large group photo. With all the different friend groups and family members, this gives them sweet moments with each individual group and also lessened the craziness of tons and tons of group photos!
Some of my favorite parts of the day included: Ash to Oak’s stunning floral bouquet and green table arrangements, the dreamy, breezy Bay view from the reception tent, the incredible wedding band (yay Nightsong!), and all of Lindsay’s pretty rings!
Cannot wait to share these with you guys!!!
