Old Town Alexandria is always a good idea for engagement photos. As usual, I was thrilled when Soo & David picked this spot for their engagement session! We dodged the rain and enjoyed a peaceful Sunday morning, with clouds creating the prettiest soft light!

Are you as in love with this color palette as I am? As you may already, I am a huge fan of green, especially this lovely shade! The pop of color paired with mostly neutrals made for the prettiest photos. Old Town’s historic backdrop, with white marble buildings and cobblestone, was so perfect. Also, isn’t that dress just perfect for twirling? I’m pretty sure Soo got dizzy from all the times I made them twirl!

Washington, D.C. has so many unique places for engagement sessions. Many people love the classic D.C. look of the monuments, but you certainly do not have to choose a traditional, tourist-heavy spot to get all the classic charm of the D.C. area! Old Town is one of my favorite engagement session locations because it has so much variety. There is the Potomac River at the waterfront that glows at sunrise, the beautiful tree-lined streets with adorable townhomes, big, bright fountains at the Square, and many other spots. Every time I shoot in Old Town, I find a new spot that I love. I’m so glad to have such adventurous couples willing to take on the exploring!
