How beautiful are Jesse and Kelly?! Last weekend’s wedding at Amber Grove in Richmond, VA was an unusual cool July day (praise!) and filled with so much gorgeousness. This was an extra-special wedding for us because Evan was a GROOMSMEN!

Jesse is one of Evan’s closest childhood friends. He was a groomsmen in our wedding and has lived less than a mile from our home for nearly 3 years! We’ve also been lucky enough to get to know Kelly over the past nearly two years, and absolutely adore her! It has been such a joy to see them through the dating journey and enjoy them as a couple. Evan was delighted when he heard the news that Jesse was planning on proposing, and I was so honored that they asked me to be their photographer!

Jesse and Kelly met at Don Tito’s in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington. If you live in North Arlington, are in your mid-to-late twenties and DON’T live under a rock, you know exactly where I’m talking about! It’s funny & sweet that these two met in an likely-yet-unlikely spot, and that their relationship has grown so deep over the past few years!

Even though Evan had his wedding duties, I didn’t shoot this one alone! My sweet friend Taylor (of Taylor Rose Photography) came along with me for the day and actually shot the entire reception on her own, allowing me to enjoy as a guest! It was a BLAST being able to do the job that I love AND enjoy myself as a guest (hellloooo Pinot Grigio!) – I’m so thankful!

Some of my favorite moments from the day: Jesse’s “first look” with Zion (the couple’s sweet Husky-German Shepherd pup), the incredible floral table arrangements by Jesse’s brother (yes, the groom’s brother!), Kelly’s stunning gown, and finally, the fact that we got to be GUESTS at the reception!
