Let’s give a HUGE warm welcome to my summer wedding photography intern, Grace!

At the beginning of the year, I launched my Washington, D.C. wedding photography internship program. You guys, it has been SO much fun! I absolutely love having an intern! It’s been a joy-filled, uplifting and surprisingly rewarding experience. I’m planning on continuing the program in the semesters and years to come, so if you’re interested or know someone who may be interested, send me a message!

So, a little more about this fabulous girl!

1. Give us a 30-second introduction:

Hi! My name is Grace McNamara. I am currently a senior at Grove City College studying Communication & Design. I am a follower of Jesus, Taco Bell enthusiast, & a practicing hand letterer. I sometimes get overwhelmed with all the things I want to try— whether it be calligraphy, watercolor, & most recently, photography. Growing up behind a cornfield in a tiny Pennsylvania town, I am so thankful to be exploring such a pretty city, while getting to use the creative mind I was blessed with.

2. What brought you to HBP? 

I actually had a mutual friend with Hannah who ended up messaging me HBP’s intern application. I vividly remember sitting in the library studying for finals when I received this message. It wasn’t long until I found myself utterly amazed at Hannah’s talent, dreaming of one day being her intern. Now here I am, still amazed &  feeling extra grateful.

3. What are you most excited to do as an intern?

Hannah is so wildly talented and I learn so much in just one hour of being with her. I can hardly wait for a whole summer! I am really excited to learn how to better operate my camera, edit pictures, and all the fun behind the scenes work that comes with running a full-time creative business.

4. What inspires you?

I am inspired by genuine joy, pretty colors, unique buildings, soft light, & delicate details.

5. Three of your favorite things?

Definitely laugh attacks, fluffy pups, and the 5 second rule.

6. Your drink of choice?

I love Shirley Temples! It might be childish of me, but there is no denying their sweet goodness.

7. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?

This one is tough! I’m going to have to say Iceland. The views look absolutely unreal & everything is SO green.

8. Favorite color?

Definitely an ethereal blueish grey. Ethereal is defined as “extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.” What a perfect definition for a perfect color!

9. Someone would be surprised to know that you . . . 

have ridden a camel on the Great Wall of China!
