A warm, sun-filled morning, peaceful & quaint tree-lined streets, and the sweetest couple you could imagine! Is there a more ideal morning? This was how my day started yesterday with Abby & Ty’s sunrise engagement session in Old Town, Alexandria!

The weather has been superb this week, which is lucky since I had THREE engagement sessions on my calendar for the week! Everything in Old Town was beautiful in that early morning sunrise light. Old Town is such a pretty area, there are almost too many options for great photo locations!

Abby & Ty have a whirlwind romance story! After meeting just over a year ago, they started dating. Being in his final year in medical school, Ty was off in different places for his rotations and it was basically a long-distance relationship for a couple months. As Ty was finishing school, Abby was apply for law school (talk about a POWER COUPLE, right?!).

In between the busyness of their D.C. lives, they found time to get to know each other and fall in love! About one year later, they made it official when Ty proposed the day he found out where he would be placed for residency (Las Vegas, if you were wondering!). Ty was so excited to propose that he didn’t even have a ring yet, which I think is the sweetest act of authentic love! A few weeks later, he had a ring. They joked that this was his second proposal!

Because Ty starts his residency in June and Abby begins law school at Stanford (again, POWER COUPLE) shortly after, they are getting married at the beginning of THIS JUNE in Utah – where Abby grew up! Their story is so sweet, and I’m so excited that I got to be a part of a little piece of it!
