Can you image a more perfect place for an artistically chic engagement session than the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC? I was instantly on board when Kelly asked about having her engagement session at this gorgeous DC gallery. And how gorgeous is this couple?!

Kelly and DJ are college sweethearts from Ole Miss. DJ is in his last semester of school there, and Kelly is currently a Capital Fellow at McLean Presbyterian Church. It’s always a treat to work with someone doing the Capital Fellows program because I did the same program 4 years ago! I loved getting to know them better and hearing all about DJ’s ring box impressive project (check out the photos! The box is gorgeous!). These two are comfortable and relaxed with each other and I loved the opportunity to create with them.

Washington, DC is such a cool place to be a wedding photographer. There are endless beautiful places to explore and photograph, and the National Gallery of Art did not disappoint! Photographing a session both indoor and outdoor in a bunch of different lighting situations was a fun challenge and the results are beautiful (at least I think they are!).

Without further ado . . .

We got kicked out of the Gallery of National Art at 5pm, but the outside is just as beautiful!
