Tanner and Nikki are now Mr. & Mrs. Metzko! As a friend and photographer, I could not have been more thrilled to be a part of their wedding day! This wedding was so unique and close to my heart, so it’s a joy to be sharing the highlights now with you!

For most of the last year, Tanner was working alongside Evan as an engineer at DesignTech (shoutout to Ev, my super talented husband, who shoots with me at almost ALL my weddings AND has a full time job as a mechanical engineer!). Tanner was a member of last year’s Capital Fellows class, a program that I graduated from over three years ago. We met Nikki shortly after meeting Tanner, and we’ve had the pleasure of watching them grow as a couple for the past year!

While we knew a proposal was probably coming soon, this sweet couple surprised everyone when they decide to forget the long engagement and get married just over a month after they set a date! It was a miracle that their date was one of the only Saturdays for the entire fall that I still had available, and I was so honored when they asked me to be their wedding photographer!

Nikki’s family owns and operates a dairy farm in New York. Along with Tanner’s family, these incredible people transformed their fully-functioning barn into a magical wedding dreamland. Seriously, I was stunned. In just 5 short weeks, they cleared out, cleaned and decorated a barn that was filled to the brim with hay and housed dairy cows. The result truly was a stunning masterpiece, scroll on to see photos!

Just to reiterate, these families planned an entire wedding AND prepared a wedding venue from scratch in just 5 short weeks. The celebration was so joyful, and I was thrilled to be a guest with Ev for the latter part of the evening!
